My dearest Mildrith,
I sadly inform you that I will not be coming home for some time now. I am sailing the ocean on my Saxon turned viking ship. The crew and I are getting very wealth as we have just chased down an Irish ship and stole all of the silver on board. Our boat, transformed for cover is called the Fydraca. We are a very fast ship, and are starting to make a great fortune. At the we were suppose to fight against Svien and King Callyn, we turned on our allies and fought with Svien and King Callyn's army and stole all the silver, which we split. We then followed Svien's boat called the White Horse out to sea, on his way to Wales we then sailed in search of lonely boats so we could take their fortune. We followed a boat for a day until it came close to shore, then we attacked. It was one of three, but fell behind during a bad storm at sea. The Captain of all three ships was on board, which trusted himself more than any other person with all of his valuables, carrying barrels of gold, silver, amber, jet, and ivory. We struck an absolute gold mine, and I should be able to pay up my debt to the church now, with extra money too! I am not sure how much longer I shall be ocean-bound, but sooner or later I will come home. How is our boy doing? Hopefully he is taking care of the crops while I am gone. Please let him know that I miss him, and tell him that I say hello.
Thanks, I will come home with great fortune!

Dear Been There
I Uhtred of Bebbanburg know exactly how you feel. My wife was not a very wealthy woman, but I absolutely fell in love with her and have an amazing son together. The only problem is that she is a stay at home mother, and produces no income what so ever. For that reason I have to produce twice the income, and do twice the work. I go to work for many hours, and sometimes don't even come home for days, and weeks. When I come home I have to do work on the farm, and plow the ground to make fertile soil. My Wife Mildrith does do many things around the house, but sometimes I wish she would work and make some money for our relationship.
I do not believe in marrying for money, but I do believe that when you find what you think is the perfect person you should find out what they plan on doing in the future, and what they have done in the past. Getting yourself caught up in a person with great amounts of debts, or with a person who seems like they are going nowhere in life could be a problem, and could even get you into trouble. This causes a problem sometime, but if you look out for it before you tie the knot it could cause you a lot less pain in the future.
I hope everything works out for you!
Uhtred of Bebbanburg

Dear Lonely in Montana
Our time period is a hard time for men and women to have a happy relationship for a long period of time, and it is even harder when you find that perfect person, and you tragically lose them. I, Uhtred of Bebbanburg, am so happy for you about the fact that you did something for yourself and went out on a vacation. You need to take care of yourself now, and meeting Richard sounds like it was a great thing for you. Do what makes you happy, and go where your heart leads you. If his daughter seems like it will be that big of a problem, I would have a serious talk with Richard and see how he feels on the topic. It is not worth it to get serious, then be miserable because his daughter does not approve of you. You and Richard sound like you get along great, and both families love you together and approve of it all, besides Liz. This shows that only Liz has a problem with it, and should not ruin your connection with Richard. You hit it off with Richard on your vacation before you knew he was rich, so you should not feel guilty like you are dating him for his money.....its only a plus. I hope everything goes as you hope it will, and no matter what happens just make sure that you are happy.
Sincerely,
Uhtred of Bebbanburg
Sincerely,
Uhtred of Bebbanburg

The Pale Horseman: Post 2
As I get farther in the book it is starting to pick up. One day Uhtred is on his land when all of the people are starting to panic because they think a Danish ship is approaching. Uhtred goes down to the water and sees that it is not a Danish ship, but a ship run by Saxons. His friend Loeric is on board as the captain, as he and his fleet have come to retrieve a ship in Uhtred's bay, that has been sitting there since the battle at Cynuit. Loeric and Uhtred talk about how boring things are at the time, so they decide to transform the ship into a Viking ship, and travel the waters and try to make a fortune. They disguise the boat with Danish features so King Alfred does not find out what they are doing when they are really suppose to be fixing the ship in Uhtred's Bay. When they are sailing along looking for boats to rob, they come across a ship that was flying a green flag, which meant they want to talk. A priest was on board of the other ship, so he came on Uhtred's boat, and talked about his town and his king's land, which had been taken over by King Callyn. He begged Uhtred and his men to fight against them, and offered them a large amount of silver if they would fight for his king. Uhtred and Loeric discuss the terms and agree that it would be a good idea if they went and fought. When they get there they have a big feast to honor the men fighting, and plan to attack King Callyn the next morning. When they wake up most of the men are to hung over to fight, so they wait till later in the day to start towards King Callyn's army. This looks like a good battle for the Saxons, and should be some easy money for Uhtred and Loeric's men.

The Pale Horseman
During the fist couple chapters in the book, Uhtred of Bebbanburg has kind of created a lot of chaos in Wessex. He was at a battle fighting, and killed a great Danish Lord, but instead of going and showing King Alfred, he goes home to see his wife, Mildrith. This causes a problem because then another warrior, Ubba the Younger takes credit for winning the battle. This upsets Uhtred, so he rides to see Alfred, who is accompanied by Ubba while they are at church. Uhtred rides in the church with his horse and causes a huge scene. He talks about how he really killed the Danish lord, but because he disgraced Alfred so much in his church, he does not care who killed the lord. Uhtred then has to make a fool of himself and crawl on the floor past all the people, and kiss the floor in the church.
Once he is able to leave, he is even more upset than before. He goes home to his wife and son, and while at home he catches some men stealing lumber off of his land. Oswald, and some slaves were cutting down trees from a ridge high up on Uhtred's land, and selling them for profit. Uhtred is so outraged he then kills Oswald, rides to his home, and raids the house looking for the profit that he is making off of his own lumber. He finds 53 shillings in the floor of the house, but is now known as a murderer. His wife Mildrith cries over this, and causes more and more problems for Uhtred. He is losing his love for his wife, and talks about how after the war he could not wait to get home and see his wife, but now he cannot even stand to be at home with her because all she does is cry and complain.
